Artifacts of Excess is a collection of artworks created from discarded, mass-produced, and forgotten materials—objects once designed for consumption, now reassembled into quiet monuments.

These works examine what we leave behind: the fragments of pop culture, plastic identities, novelty, and abundance that accumulate long after their original purpose has faded. Removed from play and commerce, these objects become artifacts—catalogued, framed, and preserved like relics from a recent past.

By recontextualising recycled materials, this collection questions value, permanence, and memory. What happens when waste is treated with reverence? When excess is archived instead of erased?

Each piece exists somewhere between assemblage and archaeology—simultaneously playful, unsettling, and reflective. Artifacts of Excess invites the viewer to look closely at what we consume, what we discard, and what stories remain embedded in the materials we choose to throw away.
